Almost Time To Start A New Year!

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas. We are looking forward to the New Year now, and I expect it to be the best year ever for all of us! I worked hard today making phone calls, and writing emails. After many messages left, I finally got to talk to a real person:) He was very nice and very interested in our business. I will call him again in a day or two, if he doesn't contact me first.

Just wanted to touch base again. I hope everyone is well, and I look forward to talking to all of you again soon!

Sunday, 12/21/.08

I have enjoyed the last few days, and have made good use of the extra time. I am sending out anywhere from 25-50 emails per night, attempting to reach by phone, usually 5 per day, and handing out invitation cards. I didn't realize the calls were back on until late Friday night when I got home, so I will try to make a call or two this week. Everyone have a terrific Christmas!

Time For A Break

Lisa, I just read your blog, and I will have to agree, we have formed habits, and that is a good thing when it involves continuing to do what we have learned to grow our business, such as our blogs. I would really miss everyone if I didn't do it. We have all made friends here, and found great support. Taking a break for the holidays doesn't mean we are stopping everything, just easing off! I too will check email, blog, report anything that has worked for me, etc. I will also call anyone who just wants to talk about the business if they will email me and let me know they want to talk. We can all take a breather, and not feel guilty if we don't get everything done right on time, while still talking to people. Like Jacki said, just see how we can help others through the holidays, (maybe by saving them some money one their shopping:) and enjoy our families. I have had a sinus infection too, so it was nice to come on home after work today (still in the 20's here, but not as much wind today) and just make a few phone calls. I didn't really care if we took the break or not, but now that we are, I must say that I am glad. We just have to keep up the GOOD habits we have formed, and not slip back into any bad ones! We can do that:)

Everybody have a great night!

Monday--Beginning Week Four

The cold front blew in last night, and we woke up to 20 degree weather this morning, after being in the 70's yesterday, with a windchill of 17. I had a dentist appointment, so, not to be undone, I left card with my dental hygienist. I told her all about MPM until she filled my mouth with tools and I coulodn't talk. She did think it was a neat idea, though, and said she would look at the site. I also went to a Christmas party with my husband tonight, and talked to some people there, so all in all, it was a good day. Tomorrow, I will follow up with some of the contacts I made. I am also doing followups nightly with some purchased leads. Wed. will be time to follow up again with contacts I have met locally.

I enjoyed the call tonight, learning about some stores I haven't looked at yet. That is a good idea to do regularly, in my humble opinion. Not feeling too well tonight after being out in the cold wind all day, so I will turn in early. Night all!

Day 19-Dec. 12th

I really got a lot out of the call tonight, and I realized that even though I was following up, I wasn't doing it as well as I should be. The role playing on tonight's call, I think, helped me realize I was making it harder than it needed to be. If someone said they were too busy, or any other excuse, I just accepted it. Now, I think I can talk to each one better, and bring out their needs and how we can help them.

I talked to people from the Salvation Army today, and told them I wanted to give the money raised from my foundation mall to them for the soup kitchen. They were very excited about it! They confirmed what I had heard, which is that they are feeding more people now than they were before, probably because of the economy. Between their excitement, and the call tonight, I have a fresh new outlook and I'm ready to go! Jacki, thanks for following through with me to see how a call should go. Ginny, I do hope you are feeling better, and thanks for your help too!

I have my family Christmas dinner tomorrow, so I will have a captive audience:)

Goodnight and good weekend everyone!

Thursday 12/11/08

After the call tonight, on which Ginny talked about follow-up, I was all fired up and ready to go. Out of 12 calls, I left 6 voice mails and promised to call them back on Monday; 2 numbers just did not answer and no machine; 2 were not good numbers; but 2 asked me to call them again tomorrow! I may be late on the boot camp call, as one girl said she was at a science fair (I could hear all the noise in the back ground) but that she did want to talk, and could I call her tomorrow night at 7. That is the time the call starts here, and Iwill have to call from the parking lot of our business, without the benefit of my computer in front of me, but it will be ok. The other woman was busy, but wanted to talk also, so I will call her at her requested time of beteen 8 and noon. I am at work at that time, but I will manage.

I have been trying to read the blogs at least 3 times a week, and I always enjoy them and learn from them. I hope to go to the Chamber Monday after my dentist appt:( and get a list of businesses. In the mean time, gotta get those new email addresses! Later.....

Wed. 12/10/08

Hello everyone. I have been getting a lot of busy people lately. I know it is the holidays, and that it will get better after Christmas and the first of the year. People will be having to PAY for those gifts, their taxes, etc. and they will need some extra income. Also, I plan to work on the business partnership. I know businesses are having a tough time, and will welcome the opportunity to advertise for so little. I will do as many followups as I can tomorrow, since on Friday, I go from one job to another, and don't even get home until 10 PM or so. (That's the night I do the call in my car in the parking lot:) On the followups I have done this week, I either get the answering machine or "I would look at it after the first of the year." That's understandable. I'll call them again, and maybe drop an email between now and then to say Merry Christmas, and I will call you after the holidays. In the mean time, I will just keep getting those names and email addresses. I have had a couple of people tell me they are interested, but haven't signed up yet. I will have to try them again tomorrow. Maybe just a reminder is all they need.

I will use my NPO mall for our local food pantry. I have heard more than once that they are already giving out more food than they did last year, and it is early yet. I know a couple of our factories here are laying off through the holidays. Every year at the holidays I have wanted to do something to make a difference, and we do participate with angel tree and the state school parties. This year though, it feels good to know from now on I will make a difference in someones Christmas meal!

I am learning so much from all of you boot campers and alternates, and from the calls each night. Thank you all for your great ideas, comments and encouragement. It makes it so much easier when you are not alone. Good night, and have a great day tomorrow!

Tuesday-Day 16

The weather turned bad here before I got home from work today. I talked to a couple of people, but will have to use my warm market for the other 3. I am just too tired and cold to go back out tonight. I can use the time for follow-up. Yes, I do follow up. Onward and upward. Have a good night everyone!

Monday--Beginning Week Three

I must be the only person here that loves Monday! It is my day off:) I sent two emails tonight to businesses, after the call. I also added my business to the business partnership page. (Thanks Ginny) I had my 5 contacts, and sent 15 more emails to purchased leads. My husband actually got me a lead today. We had gone to the nursing home to see his mother, and as we were leaving, I spoke to the lady in the office and my husband said "don't you need her email address?" Way to go honey:) I haven't added anyone new today, but tomorrow is another brand new day! Have a good one everybody!

Sunday, 12/7/08-Day 14

Yesterday and today have been very productive. A couple dozen invitations over the two days, and 25 letters out to purchased leads last night, and will do the same tonight. I do not call people on Sunday unless asked to. Tomorrow, I will start more follow ups. See everyone tomorrow on the call!

Day 12-Hello Week-End!

Today was pretty good. I think I handed out more invitations than ever! I had a thought after talking to one of my new mall owners tonight. Her printer is not working, and she can't use the one at work for mall business, so I am going to print her some invitations and send to her. That might make a good little package to send to new WCM members, a welcome letter, the beans with instructions, and some invitation cards with their mall number on them.

I now have 2 WCM below my boot camp mall. One of my other malls has upgraded. Monday, I will follow up with ALL my contacts that have not yet joined, and visit a couple of shelters.

Have a GREAT week end everyone, and thanks for the feedback and encouragement!

Thursday Night-Day 11

Back on track. I talked to a lady this morning who had not been able to play the video at the site. I told her to please go back and view the text. She said she would. If I had not followed up, I would have never known she couldn't view the video, and she would not have gone back to view the text. Sometimes, it is so tempting not to follow up, but in every instance, it has been worth the effort.

On the call tonight, I believe it was Jimmy asking about giving malls for Christmas. It gave me an idea. I have family members who have the free mall and can't afford to upgrade. They will get the upgrade for Christmas, and an American Express gift card to keep it going for 6 months! I always get a good idea or two on the calls! Thanks guys!

I have followups to do tomorrow, and am trying to print out more cards tonight. I had ordered business cards, and I just put my charity mall on the back, along with my phone number, which I had not put at first. When I give them out, it is a good time to tell them about building under the charity mall, and show them the link on the back. I still get to use my cards, and also promote my bootcamp charity mall!
Time for my guitar lesson, and then some sleep! Good night everyone!

Wow-Where have I been?

I thought I had just missed last night's blog, but seems I've been gone a couple of days. I must have been abducted! Yes, that's it......

I have had a good couple of days. One upgrade, and I haven't looked yet today, but I should have a new one! I have done some follow ups, and contacted some of my organization. I have also talked to a woman from the Salvation Army. We were both having our nails done, and I am to take her by some information. I plan to go to Good Samaritan on Monday. My Friday's are just too full to go somewhere like that, but I can get some more names and emails tomorrow.

Well, it is getting close to time for the call, so I had better get with it! Had a late day at work today, but I did get my 5! I'll try to stay off the spaceship from here on out:)

Day 8-We Begin Week Two

Well, I had my day off all planned. First, I would sleep late--the phone began ringing at 8 AM--Then I would take my time getting dressed and do a load or two of laundry while I was at it--my mother-in-law called and needed to go to the chiropractor, and it just so happened they could get her right in, so I had an hour to get dressed, go get her, and get to the chiropractor's office. Oh well, I got that done, and talked to a couple of people on the way. I also got an adjustment, which I have needed badly for a couple of months. Boy, it felt good. After stopping for a few things for my mother-in-law, I took her home, got back to the house, finished one load of laundry and started another, and laid down for a quick nap. All the telephone solicitors know I'm home on Mondays now, so the phone rang every 5 minutes. That is not an exageration! Now I know why people are so hesitant to give out their phone number! Finally, I gave up and got up, and got ready to go help my husband with a Christmas party. (I know, I said he was going to have to replace me for the length of this boot camp.......)

I've learned, or remembered, at least two things today. The best laid plans of mice and men (or women).....Plans are made to be broken. As Ginny said on the call, what good is all the money in the world if we are not doing something good for somebody?

I would have been late for the call tonight if it had not been pushed back an hour. And then, it took me a little while to get where I was supposed to be because I had not had time to read my email earlier in the day, so I didn't know about the time change, and when I did read it (while I was listening to strange voices on MY Call! It was the family chat call I guess) I just quickly read through it and didn't register the different number and moderator code.

Well, I might cry if I wasn't laughing at myself so hard. Tomorrow is another day. I have to start out with a plan, but I need to think about an option B. And maybe C.....

Good night everyone! See you tomorrow!

Day 7-A Day Of Rest??

Yes, I did make a contact at church today. Then, after lunch and showing a house we have for rent (twice), we rested.....

That makes two for yesterday and one for today, and if I had waited on the 2 extra I got Friday, I would have had my 5, but now I will have to get at least two more for tomorrow. It's ok, it's my day off:) I kinda missed the calls and reports Sat. and Sun. Shhh--don't tell
Ginny:)

Day 6-Enjoying The Day

Well, I got 2 new names today. I have sent email to ALL of my old leads (I have quite a few) but I haven't really done too much today. Tomorrow, I hit up all my chuch family! I will print some invitation cards tonight, and have plenty on hand tomorrow. Thank you all for your comments and encouragement! It is really helpful! I have read several blogs today, and I must say, they are very helpful also. The call last night had some great info on it, and I have implemented some of that today. Everyone have a GREAT Saturday night:)

Day 5-WC Reality Boot Camp

I got in so late last night, I sent in my form and let the blog wait until today. Hope that's ok! Fridays are my long day. I leave the house at 7 AM to go to work, and then go to our restaurant afterwards. I used to do this 6 days a week, so one day or two at the restaurant is much easier for me!! I am finding it easier to talk to people about the business, and managed to get 7 names yesteray:) I got a couple more today, and it is still a little early. Be sure to look at the email address and make sure it is correct so you won't have to call and ask again. Some people are not wanting to give their phone. I can understand that, but it sure helps to follow up.

Day 4-A Day For Giving Thanks

We went to my husbands aunts house about 70 miles away today for lunch. We ran up on an accident that looked really bad! It appeared to be almost head on. There were so many already stopped there, and they were waving everyone on, so we prayed for the injured and went on. I immediately thought about the people in the two cars, probably going somewhere for Thanksgiving dinner just like we were. I am thankful for all the times I have made it where I was going safely, and I pray the accident wasn't as bad as it looked.

At my husband's aunt's house, our nephew wanted to do something new, so he told the story of the pilgrims first Thanksgiving, and only having very little to eat. We passed a plate with 5 kernals of corn around and everyone told what they were thankful for. It was a very nice addition, and so good to see a young man thoughtful enough to do that. We always start with prayer, but this was a nice new tradition. Then the food! (It was great food) I got a few new email addresses too!

Then, tonight, I checked my geneology, and GUESS WHAT?? I have a new WCM!! One more thing to be thankful for! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and that we all have a prosperous day tomorrow! Wanda

Day 3 of the Boot Camp

Well, day 3 is done. (Yes, I do have my 5:) Larry, I enjoyed hearing you on the call tonight! It is great getting to know all of you a little bit! As always, Ginny, you and Jacki were great. I had an easier day today. I got up the nerve to just ask someone to do me favor, and after I explained everything to her, she said "we've been looking for something..." Oh, really?? Yipee, I have just the thing!

Anyway, the next one was easier, and I got it too! One thing I am doing is after I get all I can for one day, I use my warm market for what I lack. I don't have to do that today!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I was totally prepared to go to my husbands aunts tomorrow, get everyones email address at lunch, then come home and be here for the call, but then I found out we are off tomorrow, so maybe I'll go somewhere else after lunch and get some more names! I do want to wish everone a Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful for so many things, not the least of which is this "family" I have found! Keep up the good work everyone! See you on Friday:)

Oh, and Gueler, I never did get my video to upload last night so I finally gave up. I will keep trying though, and good for you for keeping on until you succeeded!

Day 2 of the Boot Camp!

Well, today was a little harder for me, even though I had all day instead of the couple of hours last night, since I have to do the evening calls. I did get my 5, but no signups yet. However, I do know that one of my contacts from yesterday said he was going to sign up. I usually see lots of people on my job, but today I guess everone stayed home. Tomorrow is another day, and I am ready to go! Think I'll take a little nap first though : ~ ) I didn't get my video to upload to youtube, but I shall try that again. My first experience with a camcorder. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks!!

Day One-World Changer Reality Boot Camp

As always, I am pumped after hearing from Ginny. She didn't ask anything too hard of us, just to contact 5 people a day, get their info and give them ours (about how to go to MPM site and watch video) . That's doable! Even if I AM the one she was talking about wanting to hide behind my computer:) I CAN and will follow directions and "speak" (that means with mouth) to 5 people a day! I had to leave my mother-in-laws Thanksgiving dinner early, but I made it! The 7 CST call is going to be the problem with me, but I have informed my husband that he will have to hire someone to replace me at the restaurant for the next 60 days--sorry honey--since I can't make the morning call because of my other job. Also can't make the Christmas party with our motorcycle buds, or .......oh well, We Shall Overcome! Onward and Upward! This is fun:) Ok, time to finish homework and get ready for bed.

Sunday Night - 11/23/08

It is the night before we begin the boot camp. I am more excited than nervous, and I can hardly wait to get started. I know this company is the right one for me, and I want to help everyone else to see that they can be successful too! Gotta get a good nights sleep. Gosh I hope I can sleep at all:)
