Tuesday Night

Well, I have made a few more calls since the boot camp call tonight, and left messages. I think everyone but ME uses their answering machines to screen their calls:) I am always afraid I will miss something if I don't answer. Ha! I did take one bootcampers advice (sorry, don't remember who it was) and now when I get a call wanting a donation for something, I just say "I have a new way that I am giving to my favorite charities." And I start telling them about My Power Mall. Doesn't take them long to say "ok, have a nice night" click. Works like a charm. I am just waiting for the day one of them actually asks me how they can do it too.

I sent a few emails today too, so the day wasn't a total loss even though I did stay in. Now, the weather person is telling us we have a 70% chance of more ice tonight. brrrrr. I don't know how you northerners live in so much cold weather. Here in the center of Texas (we call it the heart of Texas) we think one cold spell a year is too much!

Tomorrow, I will return to my schedule, Lord willing. At least I am not coughing like I was. Have a great night everyone!

Hi Wanda,

Great job pressing through tonight. Way to go. I'm chuckling about your reverse solicitation method. That's GREAT, too. Eventually you WILL find someone that WILL be so thankful they got to talk with you. Sleep peacefully. Enjoy.

Thank you, Wanda. Just finished our post for the day when I found your note. I'm grinning --- the Left Overs have an especially great connotation esp. because of your husband's restaurant . . .

Thanks for filling us in on names. If you want, I'll ask Big Z what he suggests for a name ;-).

'Night ;-)

the leftovers should be called The World Changing Grub! LOL Wanda, when I get those calls. I always get them from the ones that I have supported in the past. I have a few gifting centers. So, this is what I say after they have done their job. I say, Wow I am glad you called, then I tell them who we are and how we use the shopping to fund Ginny's mission and how Ginny has gave us the oppertunity to be able to choose our own charities. I then tell her that I am helping several and I name them. I pause, they usually tell me how great I am or something like wow. I then say how I was thinking of them and I would love to get in touch with someone who takes care of this kind of stuff. But, I would love to get their info. And tell them how even if they do do this,she/he can sign up first and go under them. Sometimes they give me their contact, but they always give me a contact of the person who I need.
